I love the opening words of this book. “Deep in the woods between the rocks and trees where the leaves were green and yellow, lived Wallow the Bear…” what a great storytime feel and introduction to your main character.
Although it isn’t mentioned in the story, Wallow is a blue bear, which I LOVE. And he wears a fuzzy sweater! What’s cuter than a blue bear in a fuzzy sweater?
This is a perfect rainy day read for little ones to fend off the rainy day blues. Filled with a lyrical sing-song rhyming text and warm and gentle illustrations, A Beary Rainy Day is a winner!
